Pommade Divine’s unique formula combines the natural antiseptic and healing properties of five essential oils.
The use of styrax benzoin in skincare can be traced back to ancient China. Typically found on the Indonesian island of Sumatra, the styrax benzoin tree produces a resin extract that has mild antibacterial properties. As an essential oil, it eliminates infection-causing bacteria from the surface of the skin, actively helping to heal dry, cracked skin.
The liquidambar orientalis tree produces an exotic-smelling, sticky resin, typically found in southwestern Turkey. Its aromatic leaves are similar in shape to maple leaves and turn hues of red and gold in the autumn. The resin extract has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties to effectively heal cuts and wounds.
Clove is an evergreen tree, typically found in Indonesia, which produces a flower bud that has numerous medicinal properties. Clove is rich in minerals such as calcium, hydrochloric acid, iron, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, vitamin A and vitamin C. Due to its antiseptic properties, clove oil is useful for minor skincare wounds such as cuts, bruises, insect bites and stings. It is also an excellent insect repellent thanks to its potent aroma.
Cinnamon originated in the tropics of Asia and continues to be widely used for medicinal purposes in Sri Lanka and India. Cinnamon oil is obtained from the bark and leaves of cinnamon trees. It has antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial properties, and rich in essential minerals such as manganese, iron and calcium. A natural coagulant, cinnamon oil reduces excess bleeding and facilitates the healing process.
Native to the Maluku Islands, or “Spice Islands”, of Indonesia, nutmeg is used for the prevention and healing of many skincare conditions. Nutmeg has strong antibacterial properties. Blended into a balm, it clears and brightens the skin, reducing the appearance of scars and alleviating acne.
